This really belongs on the village square blog... but I hate blocking other people's posts.
I was listening to this song this morning and the words, which I have heard many times before, really grabed me. I know emotions arn't the basis of the Christian faith, but anything that encourages us to love God more is worthy of a moment's consideration, in my mind. My favorite part is where he says "This is for my glory." Hope someone besides me benefits from this!
Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out
Of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown
Where Jesus is
And he's holding out his hands
But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The waves, they keep on telling me
Time and time again
Boy, you never win.
You never win...
But the voice of truth
Tells me a different story
The voice of truth says
Do not be afraid
The voice of truth says
This is for my glory
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and...
....beleive.

Oh, by the way, the song is called "Voice of Truth" by Casting Crowns. :-)
that's an interesting image. it's amazing that no matter how much we sink and don't believe and turn away, we can still get back up, stronger than we were, closer to the goal.
I love that song too. Haven't heard it in awhile though. Is it playing again?
*hits head with hand* stupid question
LOL... no, actually I just have it on a CD. Or I don't know, anyway.
