all the children left without a trace

Hey everybody, today I was sad but Anna read me One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Wasn't that amazing of her?

and now for a song the cousins showed me.

I hope the days come easy
and the moments pass slow,
and each road leads you
where you wanna go,
and if you're faced with a choice,
and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one
that means the most to you.

And if one door opens
to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin'
till you find the window,
if it's cold outside,
show the world
the warmth of your smile.

But more than anything,
more than anything...

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you,
and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back,
but you never forget,
all the ones who love you,
in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive,
and you never regret,
and you help somebody every chance you get,

Oh, you find God's grace,
in every mistake,
and always give more than you take.

But More than anything,
yeah, more than anything...

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish. Yeah.

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you,
and wants the same things too,Yeah, this, is my wish.

*Hugs Lindy*

The Zink is in One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. It's not a fish, it's a Zink.

it goes through all these different animals and who they are and what they like to do, like drink pink wink ink.
don't you remember? well, I'll have to read it to you, too.

Why are you sad, Lindy? Is everyone sad but me? Oh, bother.

Please people - chin up, chin up! Everybody have a happy face! Wear it, share it! ......

...... twinkle! sparkle! Let a little sunshine in!

Come on, people, sing with me!

Oh, okay Michaela, because you said so, I will be happy. Because you know, I was actually choosing to be sad. It's just so much fun.

I'm sorry, MJ, but there's nothing like flaunting your own happiness to make a grumpy person grumpier. It's not as simple as we'd all like to think. Just wait till you're seventeen. Plus I'm sure you know what it's like to be sad. You make me feel guilty about being sad and certainly about talking about it!

emily said...

Well, actually, I don't mind you flaunting your happiness. That makes me happier. But at least allow me to be sad.

thank you.

I won't flaunt my happiness, Em, if you don't want. And I can understand sadness, just not to the degree as you do. And age isn't everything... I could feel really sad if I wanted to.

It just would be awfully selfish, when I have so much, and if I was sad and made everyone around me sad, wouldn't that be rude? It would be thinking of only myself.

Be sad if you like... I'll be extra happy - not smiley, of course- to make up for it. I'll glow inside for you.

Even if there's nothing else in the entire world to be happy about, you can still say, "Jesus died on the cross to save His elect people. Jesus died for me; for me!" I hope that's not all you can say, though. I can think of a ton more things.

I think I ought to mention, I'm a bit critical today. So I'll use that as an excuse for my accusations. Never mind, be mad at me if you want. (or be sad)
Like I said, I'm critical today.

MJ said...

Oh, and anyway, would you want me to be sad just because you are? Have you seen me sad? I can be sad. I have been. Just not depressed.

I think that's all. Oh, and one more thing. Actually never mind. I've been rude enough.

Ugg! This sadness stuff is really bothersome. (Em, you know how you said when you're sad and I'm happy, you are even more sad? Well it works both ways.)

But the thing is, Emily, just because Michaela doesn't want to hear about why you are sad, doesn't mean we don't. It wouldn't be normal if you only posted when you are happy. It kind of takes away from blog.

MJ said...

Okay, Beth. I do agree with you... It's just, everyone's been sad recently. I'm trying to understand. Or trying not to.

emily said...

I totally agree that you know what sadness is, MJ, I didn't mean that you didn't. You're quite old and mature enough to understand. It's just, when you're eighteen life gets more complicated and there kind of tends to be more to be sad about.

I don't think it's ever rude or selfish to be sad, MJ. Unless you're only doing it for attention or to fit in or something. Yes, it's true that no matter what I am unbeleivably blessed. But that doesn't make my perhaps small problems go away, that doesn't make me feel any less pain. I would argue that it's a little unfair to people and definantly fake to hide what you are really feeling.

Keep glowing, MJ, that's great so long as it's real. I certainly would NOT want you to be sad just because I am! I guess all I meant was that it's not very helpful to tell a sad person to cheer up and say, "look at me!! I'm happy!"

You don't know the facts. How can you understand when you don't know? You either have to accept it or find out the facts before you can start to really understand people.

But pay no mind to me. This is just my opinion. :-)

That is good Emily. I agree with you.

MJ said...

Well, I'm not saying it's wrong to be sad... And I do realize that I do not know all the facts.

And I definitely don't think it's unnatural for people of your age to be sad at some point. Whether it is the age, the things that happen in that age, both, or something else, I don't know.

Now this is silly. We're having a big conversation about being sad, we're forgetting - or I am- about the doing of it:

Em, I'm sorry you are sad. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure if I knew all the reasons you were sad, I would probably agree with you and start a campaign or something. I'm not going to be sad, too, but I'll do what I can to make you happier (without being annoying).

I think that's it- bye

MJ said...

Oh, and Em, you're not eighteen yet.

emily said...

*hugs MJ* You're a great cousin, you know that?

MJ said...

Thanks, Emily. I appreciate that.

Hey, could you visit my blog?
