New Camp Hope Memories

-The time the cabin inspection results were announced and nobody clapped. After a few seconds of dead silence, Eric suddenly said: "Oh, that's you guys: You can go ahead and cheer."

-Ridding home from Winthrip with a fellow ESFP and being... well, ESFP's. :-D (he hatted spagetti and yogurt, just like me. Think it's just coinsidence?)

-Cabin devotions on night one. When all but two out of seventeen people are crying, you know God is working.

-Getting to know the real Sam, not just the My-Space or E-mail Sam, and becoming friends with him. Just goes to show, you can't really know anyone very well electronicly.

-Volleyball on night four. The dust made it feel litteraly magical. I can't explain it- but it was almost dark, and we were having so much fun. We were playing with a normal volley ball until someone went and got the giant soccer ball. Then the game suddenly picked up really fast and we stopped keeping track of points. You could just hear the theme music kick in.

-The ride up with Anna. Lo and behold, we can comunicate without a Ratoinalist go-between!!!!!

-I'm a little tea pot. (sigh) Where's a camera when you need one?

-Wiffle ball. It was the first game we played, and I nailed my first two shots up to bat. They were probubly the first two hits I've made in my life. Talk about first impressions! :-D

-Adopting Anna's dad as an uncle.

-Having several areas of my life changed by startling revelations, like: you really can't judge a book for it's cover, you fear those you try to impress, openess is fundumental, and Jesus is still fully man. That's just to scratch the surfface.

-Hiking up a "not too steep" wall (which some called a mountain)- and leaving my sun glasses at the top.

-Singing with the Buzbee's. Great couple. Really amazing people.

-Making Caroline cry. (she would laugh at me until she cried. Don't ask...)

-Snack on Wednesday night. Record leavels of hyperness were set that night- even Sam was hyper. Watching him try to control himself when he's really excited is absoluty hilarious. I couldn't stop bouncing around till at least midnight...

-Watching Michaela do the 'bannana' song on the way home. That may have beat Wednesday snack for hyper leveles...

-The camp fire. It's just impossible not to enjoy anything around a fire.

Well, that's it for now... but I'll probubly get up early tomorrow and write some more. :-D In short, this year of Camp Hope was the best yet.

Hey, that's really cool, Em! I just got back from camp, too--and actually, the first year, it was called the Hope Conference. (Just in case you wanted to know.) I had tons of fun, too! We had a campfire and smores and skits and worship and volleyball and inner tubing and worship and new people all that fun stuff, too.
Don't forget to email me. Naughty.

It goes peel, dance, and mush. There's no spilt till the end... and then it's not a verse. :-) Sorry!

You guys are crazy...who is Aletheia? I haven't met you. hi!!!
I'm a friend of Eowyn and MJ. Or at least I pretend to be. I hang around with them and I'm sure I drive them both crazy. Now it's spreading out to Vani, Legolas and Ribbons as well.
I'm a little outgoing when it comes to introducing myself...so for now...hi!

Hi Verya! I know Ribbons from the school she went to Freshman year, and I've met Vanima, too--and Eowyn, for like five minutes! I come and bug people on Ribbons's blog a lot.

-Finding out like a year and a half latter that Samwise (my hero) hiked all the way back up that mountain the next morning in search of my sunglasses.
